jams.

Two albums I've recently downloaded and thought were worth mentioning. (click the titles)

Evenings- North Dorm (pretty true to the name, an electronic album made in a dorm and sounds like a warm evening.)

Tyler, The Creator- BASTARD (along with EARl, Tyler is a Member of OFWGKTA aka odd future wolf gang kill them all. Dudes are solegit. You should get this and EARl like now.)

The Celebration (Festen) (uncredited-Thomas Vinterberg, 1998)

Another good Dogme. The shots really made the movie. The camera had an interesting self-awareness to it making the film truly lively and confrontational. I think Festen drilled home my understanding and appreciation for Dogme 95's manifesto and its intentions.

Sweet Movie (Dusan Makavejev, 1974)

70's sexually explicit art house. Reminds me somewhat of a Jodorowsky movie but maybe its just the political/social critiques that seem to be common of the time. Sweet Movie is my second favorite movie within the last few months, maybe an all time favorite but ill have to watch it again to decide. Either way, Sweet Movie is sweet. lolz

Hands on a Hard Body (S.R Bindler 1997)

A documentary about a Texas car dealership's endurance/sleep deprevation/last man standing competition to win a new truck. The last contestant to take their hand of the truck wins. The competitors are hilariously absurd and the film is consistently fun to watch. Its pretty rad.

Dogtooth(Kynodontas)(Giorgos Lanthimos, 2009)

I watched this film about a month ago or so and today finally got to transfer it(along with about a dozen other seemingly good films) from a friends harddrive to mine and I'm pretty damn excited about it. That means I get to geekout with a ton more screencaps soon!
Anyways.....Dogtooth is the best movie I've seen in a while. The stories great, shots are great, colors great, basically the films fucking gorgeous. truestwords.

The Idiots(Idioterne)(Lars Von Trier, 1998)

I've only seen three of these films, but the Dogme movement is definitely Bowser level. I think my favorite is still Korine's Julien Donkey Boy butttt The Idiots is illmatic as well.

A Prophet(Un Prophete)(Jacques Audiard, 2009)

Wasn't feelin the screencaps I got for this one, heres two of them anyways.

Hannu-Worms in My Piano

I've mentioned this album on my last blog and figured I might as well actually upload it. Here is an edited quote from myself when I was feeling more enthusiastic about things "Textured electronic ambient music mmmm. I usually listen to this album to fall asleep, its like winter frost melting onto your brain, but in a good way. The track Haapavesi is real good, Wait till around the 55 second mark, the loop makes your tear ducts reverse and cry tears of joy out your ears."

The White Ribbon(Das Weisse band) (Michael Haneke, 2009)

P.S Eliot - Introverted Romance In Our Troubled Minds.
